By championing The Grassroots Code, you make football better for everyone.
Setting the standard to live up to. Creating fun, positive, inclusive spaces for
all to enjoy the game.
Created with contributions gathered from grassroots clubs, The Grassroots
Code includes Standards of Behaviour which all of football have got behind.
They’re very clear, so everyone can understand and remember them:

  • Enjoy The Game We’re here to enjoy ourselves…win, lose or draw.
  • Give Respect We always treat others as we’d like to be treated.
  • Be Inclusive We embrace our differences…football is a game for
    everyone.
  • Work Together We’re a team, on and off the pitch.
  • Play Safe We all have a role in safeguarding children.
    Now that you’ve downloaded and signed the code, it’s time to embrace
    and live it!

you stand for. To shout about how you’re respecting the standard and
showing football at its best.

How your county FA can encourage downloads

If you haven’t already, download the code. Get it signed by everyone in your
club ahead of the season. Find a copy in this pack to print off, or you can
download it here:

Talk to your club members about The Grassroots Code and how they can raise
their standard by signing, embracing and living it.
Show all of football that your club lives by The Grassroots Code and take pride
in the standard you’ve set. You can use the assets in this pack to show off
your club. These are:
