Garden City Football Club

Garden City Football Club is a proudly inclusive grassroots football club based in the heart of Kidlington, Oxfordshire. Founded over half a century ago, the club has grown into a vibrant sporting hub that welcomes players of all genders and abilities. Today, we are home to more than 120 registered players, with teams ranging from Under-6s through to u16s squads, offering a clear and inspiring pathway for players as they develop through the age groups.

Our roots lie deep within the local community. The name “Garden City” originates from a housing estate established in the southern part of Kidlington shortly before the Second World War. Built on land released for development in 1928, this estate helped shape the transformation of Kidlington from a quiet rural village into a thriving, diverse community. It’s from these foundations that Garden City Football Club emerged, carrying forward a spirit of unity, pride, and progress.

As a volunteer-led club, we are driven by a passionate group of individuals who give their time and energy to create a welcoming and safe environment. Our qualified coaches, committee members, and safeguarding officers are committed to upholding the highest standards in both player development and welfare. We believe in nurturing talent while instilling important values such as teamwork, respect, and resilience.

Off the pitch, our club remains deeply connected to the local area, working closely with schools, families, and organisations to promote healthy living, inclusion, and community spirit. Whether it’s match day or midweek training, Garden City FC strives to be a place where lifelong memories are made and football truly belongs to everyone.
